The 275-Year Plan to Rebuild The Yesah Nation

When people talk about land back, it is easy to dismiss the idea as something unrealistic or impossible.  First of all when you look at history change is constant,  Nothing last indifferently.  2) All colonized lands eventually revert back to the original people, 3) The science of Chaos Theory says that a thing cannot be changed from its natural self indefinitely--it will always eventually revert back to its natural state.  Imagine white people going to  China and seizing a portion of China--a land of 2 billion people.  They may hold it for a temporary period but long term they are over extended from their base and no matter how they try to make it a new base eventually they will not be able to sustain their extension.  The whites have attempted to make America their new base however, they have already lost South America, Central America and Mexico and are currently in the process of losing the USA and Canada.

Understanding all of the above today when you examine the demographic trends, consider the direction the USA is moving, and approach the issue through intentional multigenerational planning, the objective becomes much more achievable.

The first component of my plan is financial strength. My objective is for our family to become billionaires. That is important because it takes money to make things happen. If we are serious about rebuilding our Nation, acquiring land, creating institutions, and influencing the future, we need the financial resources to accomplish those objectives. Building substantial generational wealth is therefore one of the most important pieces of the puzzle.

The second component is demographics. The White population has been declining as a percentage of the United States population for approximately 50 years. According to Census projections, that decline will continue significantly through 2060 to 44% according to the US Census.. My projection is that the decline will accelerate after the White population becomes a minority. I estimate that the percentage will decline dramatically to approximately 30% by 2100 and ultimately to less than 10% over the following century.  It will be accelerated by them not liking being a minority and leaving.

As the demographic composition of the country changes, the political environment must change with it. The USA since 1776 and since before has been a white supremacy biased Nation.  This is the foundation of the USA.  As white people become a minority this foundation will dissolve and a new foundation shall replace it.    The white supremacy drive to keep the border closed in order to keep Brown Natives out will be gone.  Natives from the South will be welcomed and by the year 2100 Natives will be the majority--led by Spanish speaking Natives.  At the same time white people will flee to white dominated countries.

While all of this is happening Native communities who have already been reorganizing and rebuilding for decades will accelerate.   Pressure will continue to build for land back.

The third component is intentional population growth within our own community.  

While all of the above is occurring members of the Occoneechee Band of Yesah will be steadily reproducing with other Natives and growing our pure Native numbers while relearning our ceremonies, languages and rebuilding our communical ways of living while growing businesses.  By the year 2100 we will have nearly 1,000 tribal members, by 2150 we will be 99% native and speaking our Native language and living our Native culture and with a planned PR campaign we will be the most well know tribe in VA.   This is important because we must hold our space in VA--People need to know who we are and where our territory is.  We will intentionally make it known for decades so that everyone is aware.   As the pressure builds each decade for land back we will be known and everyone will know our territory so that as land back becomes more and more of a reality we are already in position to effectively advocate for our territory and receive it.

We will establish a family commitment, with financial and other incentives, in which each generation forms Native families and averages three children per family, the mathematics become extremely significant over time.  Beginning with only 10 people forming 10 families, and using a 25-year generation, the model produces 1.77 million people in the 11th generation after 275 years. That would transform our community from a very small population today into a major demographic presence that is able to reform our Native nation in what is now the state of Virginia.  With intentional effort we can become THE dominate force in Virginia

The basic family commitment is straight forward: marry Native and have three children or more.  We reinforce that commitment with financial incentives.  The more children a family has the more economic incentive provided by the tribe.  As our tribes' wealth increases, making it easier for our descendants to raise larger families while maintaining their connection to the community.  One part of the plan is form family / tribal members each to purchase as much land as possible 100 to 1000 acres.

The key is thinking beyond our own lifetimes--the Native way is sevens generations thinking. Europeans planned and acted across generations in transforming the American continent. There is no reason we cannot think in terms of the next 300 years as well. I have worked with White people my entire life and I have run circles around them for the past 50 years. If they could fundamentally transform this continent over several centuries, we can intentionally work over the next several centuries to rebuild what was taken from us.

When all of these factors are considered together—the demographic transformation of the United States, the rebuilding of Native populations and Natives being the majority, the re-indigenization of our community, intentional family growth, the creation of substantial generational wealth, and the acquisition of land—the idea of Land Back becomes much more than a slogan. It becomes a long-term strategy.

None of this will happen in our lifetime. And it does not matter.  We must care about our Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grand Children as much as we care about our children.  Just because we will never get to meet them makes them no less real and important than our own children.  Our responsibility is to establish the plan, build the financial foundation, instill the vision within our families, begin executing it, and make certain that each generation understands its responsibility to carry it forward.

If other people can plan 500 years into the future, we can plan 300 years into the future.
